Rolling shutters installation guide

Coastal dwellers know there’s nothing like the beauty of the ocean, but we also know the constant threat of the awesome power of a hurricane.
Incredible winds, rain, and flying debris combine to bring an extraordinary destructive force to your most valuable and cherished possession: your home or business.
How can you better prepare your home or business to stand against such overwhelming forces?
Storm panels are difficult to put in place and difficult to store. Accordion shutters are unattractive and hard to use.
Innovative Protective Products is proud to bring you a solution that solves all these problems while providing additional benefits and unparalleled durability: Splats Protective Slats.
At first glance, you might think that Splats Protective Slats are no different than aluminum roll-up shutters, but nothing could be further from the truth!
Traditional aluminum roll-up shutters require a storm bar for support….right in the middle of your windows…obstructing your view and detracting from the exterior beauty of your home.
Splats can span openings up to 12 feet in width with no storm bars and still withstand wind speeds of up to 200 mph.
The Splats Roll-Up Shutters will flex under wind loading like a trampoline……it gives but it comes right back !
Splats are highly impact resistant. Here you see the effect of a 2x4 fired from a cannon at over 50 feet per second. The Splat resists the incredible impact and bounces back…ready for more!
Hurricane Francis hit this ocean front home with all it had and lingered over the home for four hours ! Then Hurricane Jean hit the home !
All 32 openings in the home are protected by Splat Roll-Up Shutters.
Both inside and out you’d never know there had been more than a thunderstorm outside. But a quick look across the deck at a home with aluminum shutters reveals the damage a hurricane is capable of…and why Splats are the way to go!
Splats Protective Slats are made of an impact resistant polymeric composite, which is what gives them their incredible durability and long life. However, their high tech material isn’t just tough, it’s also beautiful.
Splats are available in a wide variety of colors, and they never need painting. Ever!
Splats Protective Slats offer other benefits beyond hurricane protection…benefits that you can enjoy 365 days a year.
Splats can be controlled by wireless remote, making opening or closing them as easy as changing the channel on your TV.
Because they’re tough, they can be used to protect your home from burglars at night or when you’re away.
Splats are available with light slits, allowing air and light to enter your home if desired. Unlike typical aluminum slats, Splats are insulated. This means that you can use Splats to protect your home from solar heat build up on sunny days…increasing comfort and reducing electrical bills while still creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Splats can also reduce your insurance premiums by providing hurricane protection.
These same features also mean that you can extend the usable living space in your home. An outdoor patio can become more like an extra room when you know that your belongings will be protected from weather and theft by using Splats Roll-Up Shutters.
And don’t worry about wearing them out. Cycle testing proved that Splats will last at least 50 years if raised and lowered twice a day every day!
Splats are convenient, easy to use, attractive, and very tough. They carry the approval of these organizations, all of whom know all too well what hurricanes can do.

Why wait for the next hurricane to ruin you home or business ? Protect your investment with Splats Hurricane Slats. You’ll get peace of mind when hurricanes threaten, but you’ll also get the day to day convenience and comfort that Splats can provide.
Hurricane protection…UV protection…home security.

OUR HURRICANE SHUTTER ARE TESTED UNDER MAXIMUM IMPACT !!!

IMPACT TESTED

Aluminum Rolling Shutters can be operated in ways that include manual, electric and
remote-controlled operation.

When the windows are opened, the view will not be obstructed .

When closed, it will bring you safety, comfort and economization on energy to your home and business.

These shutters do more than provide protection against hurricanes, tropical storms and the elements... They truly are beautiful!!!

The most important value of our HURRICANE SHUTTERS, STORM SHUTTERS, BAHAMAS SHUTTERS  and COLONIAL SHUTTERS are their extreme durability.

Our Shutters retain their original high quality for years to come.

Now you can add protection, privacy and insulation to your home at the touch of a button. Motorized rolling shutters provide an instant "safety shield" to the exterior windows and doors of your home when you desire and conveniently roll up and out of sight at the simple push of a button.
Motorized rolling shutters are a highly functional product, protecting your home or office against burglary, vandalism and storms, as well as providing added insulation to your windows and doors -- plus instant privacy when you want it.
Rolling shutters provide a two-way thermal barrier for your windows and doors to shield out the heat and cold. They reduce heat gain and air conditioning costs in the summer and keep out the cold to reduce heating costs in the winter. You can save even more, because motorized rolling shutters help protect your carpet and furniture from sun fading -- indoors or out, on a balcony or lanai. So you can decorate as you desire and everything will remain bright and beautiful year after year.
A unique feature of rolling shutters is the vented position. While in this position, your rolling shutters provide built-in ventilation; you can control sunlight and air circulation throughout your house while maintaining total privacy. You can see out, but no one else can see in.
Handsome designs complement your exterior decor without hiding your windows. Rugged construction protects and insulates, while SOMFY motors assure easy and dependable operation.
SOMFY's electric motors are fully contained within the roller tube of your rolling shutters for a clean, concealed installation that blends right into the lines of your home. And they're sealed, too, so they require no maintenance at all for years of trouble-free service.
SOMFY gives you finger-tip control to raise and lower shutters of any size with utmost ease, or to control several shutters -- even a whole house full of them -- from a single push-button switch.
